Tools and practices include movement, breath practices, meditation and lifestyle modifications to create balance at every layer of being: physical, mental, emotional, energetic and spiritual. Anyone can experience the benefits of Yoga Therapy, as the practices are adapted to meet the unique needs of each individual.
Group Class Descriptions
Yoga for Wellbeing: Strengthen + Stretch
A perfect way to complete your day. This all-levels class offers postures to get the body moving, build strength, stability and balance. Coupled with breathwork, meditation, and longer held postures to improve flexibility, this class also has a calming effect on the mind and nervous system. Each class concludes with a longer relaxation to ease you into your evening.
Yoga for Wellbeing: Gentle + Therapeutic
A safe entry point to begin a group yoga practice. Class sizes are smaller and this class is appropriate for students with specific health conditions and physical limitations. This morning class will include a longer warm up with fluid movements coupled with slow deep breathing. This class may also include standing poses to improve balance and neuromuscular patterning. Modifications are always offered to adapt the postures to meet the needs of the individual.
Yoga for Restful Sleep (6-week series)
Learn yoga practices to align your mind with your body for restful sleep, waking up every morning feeling wholesome. This includes calming the mind, releasing tension from the body, and choosing a positive attitude. Yoga practices have been shown to improve overall sleep quality, sleep efficiency, duration, and the amount of time it takes to fall asleep.
Yoga for Stress Reduction (6-week series)
Slow down, breathe deep and be restored. Yoga for stress reduction is designed to calm the mind and the nervous system, promoting a sense of ease. A meditative, gentle yoga practice, where the postures are held for longer periods of time to release tension in the body and mind. Research has shown that this restorative yoga practice is beneficial in reducing insomnia, anxiety and depression.
