What is Mindfulness?

An ancient practice embraced by many cultures around the world for thousands of years, mindfulness is defined by Jon Kabat-Zinn, PhD, as “paying attention in a particular way: on purpose, in the present moment, and non-judgmentally.” When we bring this quality of attention to ourselves and the world around us, we engage evidence-based mindfulness practices to cultivate our wellbeing.
