Accepting Applications:

Practicing clinicians who have graduated from an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) training program or equivalent residency or fellowship program are eligible to apply.

A Truly Innovative Two-Year Fellowship

The Integrative & Functional Medicine Fellowship equips physicians to deliver the future of medicine – today. This breakthrough curriculum combines both integrative and functional practices in a flexible online learning structure with immersive, practical, in-person retreats. From nutrigenomics, lifestyle, and environmental medicine to advanced diagnostic testing and personalized case-based treatment plans, participants build comprehensive precision medicine knowledge. Based on proven, real-world experience at the Susan Samueli Integrative Health Institute, the largest ambulatory and inpatient integrative health program in the U.S, graduates will gain the expertise to deliver integrative and functional care to patients as they learn it. Eligible candidates can sit for the board certification exam offered by the American Board of Integrative Medicine at the completion of the program.

The Integrative & Functional Medicine Fellowship is designed to fit the busy schedule of physicians without compromising on the depth of learning or experience.

  • 2-year hybrid learning program consisting of virtual asynchronous lectures, live monthly small group meetings and grand rounds, as well as three immersive in-person, residential retreats
