Integrative cardiology seeks to mitigate the rise of cardiovascular disease through lifestyle changes and the use of medication. Cardiovascular disease, which includes heart attacks and stroke, is one of the leading causes of death in the United States and a complex disease to treat. Fortunately, we work extensively to manage this disease from a preventive and noninvasive approach.
Principles
The foundational methods of preventive cardiology are the following:
- Risk assessment
- Early diagnosis
- Treatment
- Lifestyle changes
Conditions Treated
Some of the conditions we treat include:
- Hypertension
- Coronary artery disease
- Cholesterol/ lipid disorders
- Metabolic syndrome
