Our annual membership-based program offers a number of benefits to its members. It limits the number of participants, giving patients and their physician more time to focus on overall wellness and preventive care.
Our Concierge medical team includes doctors and a nurse practitioner, who jointly manage urgent concerns with promptness and efficiency. The nurse practitioner closely collaborates with your doctor to ensure a comprehensive and attentive approach to your healthcare needs.
Our nurse practitioner, Megan Hormazdi, FNP-BC, FMACP, is not only well-versed in family and internal medicine but also has experience in urgent care settings. Hormazdi’s background in integrative medicine further augments our team’s proficiency, ensuring that our patients receive a well-rounded and thorough approach to healthcare within the Concierge Primary Care program.
To meet the increasing demand for the Concierge Primary Care Program, Ryan Herring, MD, MPH, has joined the Susan Samueli Integrative Health Institute as a Concierge Staff Physician in Newport Beach.
Dr. Herring is a dual board-certified Preventive Medicine and Lifestyle Medicine physician. His clinical interests include lifestyle medicine, integrative medicine, chronic disease reversal, chronic disease prevention and weight management.
Dr. Herring earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine. He completed his residency in preventive medicine at Loma Linda University Health. Dr. Herring also earned a master’s in public health from Loma Linda University School of Public Health.
Dr. Herring is dedicated to collaborating with his patients to create an individualized plan for wellness through nutrition, fitness, stress management, sleep optimization. Dr. Herring shares his perspective on Concierge Primary Care:

“Lifestyle Medicine is a medical specialty that focuses on using therapeutic lifestyle interventions to prevent and treat chronic conditions such as cardiovascular disease and type 2 diabetes. For example, rather than simply telling a patient they need to eat healthier, I prescribe specific foods that naturally lower blood pressure and improve blood sugar. My approach is to always meet patients where they are and provide them with the resources to make sustainable changes. I want them to know about this lifestyle approach which, when applied therapeutically, can reduce or eliminate medications and restore quality of life.”
