Dr. April Reilly grew up in Southern California playing soccer and softball competitively. This led to her interest in physical therapy and helping people recover from injury. She worked with elite athletes while at UCLA as part of their sports medicine program. While at Mount St. Mary’s University, she was involved in research involving the effects of mid-thoracic manipulation on heart rate variability. This research was presented at the California state conference.
Since earning her degree, Dr. Reilly has had a wide range of experience professionally, including working with complex pediatric diagnoses, geriatrics and chronic pain. She has continued her education with courses on manual therapy, including visceral manipulation of the abdomen, thorax, and pelvis, which aides in her ability to deliver holistic care. Dr. Reilly has also guest lectured at Mount Saint Mary’s University and has been a clinical instructor for DPT students from USC, APU and MSMU.
