What brought you to whole-person health?

What brought me to whole-person health was my fascination with Eastern philosophy and subsequently Chinese medicine. I was intrigued to learn about the relationship between organs and systems and the extent to which our body is capable of adjusting and adapting when faced with various stressors.  I discovered how important it is to have a healthy relationship with our environment and how our thoughts, beliefs, and outlook all play a role in how we experience health and disease. As I delved deeper into integrative health and naturopathic medicine, I discovered more of what health means to me – I was reminded of my childhood where traditional medicine, along with conventional medicine, played an important role in keeping me and my loved ones healthy. I was reminded that health is a whole-person experience – that my food, my environment, my community, and my mind are all important elements and deserve attention.
