Bio:
Dr. Nadeswaran completed her medical education at the University of West Indies, and internal medicine training at Loma Linda University. She joined UCI as a clinical professor of medicine in 2000. She is board certified in internal medicine and bariatric medicine, and helped start the Comprehensive Obesity Management Program at UCI. Dr. Nadeswaran is also intimately involved in medical education; she teaches residents and medical students and serves as an associate program director for the internal medicine residency program. She started working at the Susan Samueli Integrative Health Institute in August of 2019. She has received several recognitions and awards for teaching and patient care, including Orange County Medical Association’s Physicians of Excellence Awards.
What brought you to whole-person health?
I came to whole-person health because it’s important to look at all aspects of health, not just one organ dysfunction. By looking at patients’ physical, behavioral, emotional and environmental influences, I can help patients improve their health and prevent disease.
