Bio:
Hung Du has over 10 years of experience in sterile and nonsterile compounding focused on integrative medicine. He has been a pharmacist for 25 years and has professional experience from the Food and Drug Administration, pharmaceutical companies and various retail pharmacies. He brings a variety of pharmaceutical expertise and a unique perspective with his experience in integrative health related to pharmacy.
As an integrative pharmacist, Du is able to counsel patients on usage and contraindications regarding vitamins and supplements with conventional medications. At the Samueli Institute, Du leads the integrative pharmacy team in providing high quality compounded medications and managing the vitamins and supplement shop. He also will lead students in the UCI School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences as they participate in clinical rotations in the integrative pharmacy.
What brought you to whole-person health?
I believe in the healing potential in nature and the innate ability of the body to heal itself. I feel that these secrets have not been fully discovered and realized. When we integrate these natural treatment modalities with current conventional medicine, I believe we can advance medicine to the next level and fulfill the mission of the Susan Samueli Integrative Health Institute.
