The Mindful Self-Compassion Short Course is designed to nurture self-awareness and self-compassion, thereby assisting adults in navigating their daily hurdles with greater ease. Research demonstrates that self-compassion significantly enhances emotional wellbeing (less anxiety and depression), boosts resilience, happiness, harmonious relationships, and can even help maintain healthy lifestyles. The format of this class includes meditation, experiential exercises, short talks, group discussions, and home practices.

Please note that the class takes place on the following Fridays from 1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.:

  • January 31
  • February 7
  • February 21
  • February 28
  • March 7
  • Plus retreat on March 14, 2025, from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m.

Participants will develop inner resources to: 

  • Become aware of the stress and tension experienced in the body 
  • Identify ways to soothe and focus a busy and distracted mind 
  • Create an inner compassionate voice to replace a harsh inner critic 
  • Investigate core values to guide a purpose-driven life 
  • Develop a sense of belonging to others and the wider world 
  • Recognize and appreciate inner goodness 

Registration

Please note:  Mindfulness courses require a minimum of 10 registrants per program. Classes with fewer than 10 registrants may be cancelled and registered participants will be provided a refund. We kindly ask that you are aware of this when making arrangements to attend this program.
