The Susan Samueli Integrative Health Institute offers a variety of classes within the modalities of mindfulness, Tai Chi and nutrition. From Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction to Mindful Parenting and Tai Chi for health and longevity, our classes seek to provide the community with the latest information to improve health and wellbeing. About Our Classes
Mindfulness is defined by Jon Kabat-Zinn, PhD, as “paying attention in a particular way: on purpose, in the present moment, and non-judgmentally.” When we bring this quality of attention to ourselves and the world around us — including our workplace, we engage evidence-based mindfulness practices to cultivate our wellbeing.
We offer culinary programs that inspire integrative, whole-person health as well as create unique bonding experiences that participants will savor beyond the last bite.
Known as “moving meditation,” Tai Chi has been used to aid various health concerns including heart and lung health, cancer remission, psycho-emotional health, and corporate workplace wellness.
